Charges sometimes come out of stressful situations

There are many stressful situations people can end up in. Tempers can be running very high in such situations. Sometimes, these tempers boil over and chaotic events occur. This could include events involving violence, fighting or clashes within crowds. Sometimes, individuals end up facing criminal proceedings in connection to such an event.

One place that can see its share of stressful circumstances are airports. Our readers may have heard about what a stressful situation recently resulted in at an airport here in Florida. Last week, chaos broke out at Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in connection to flight cancellations involving Spirit Airlines. According to NBC News, included in this chaos were clashes between angry passengers and security/police.

Three people were arrested and charged in relation to this event. The charges brought include: trespassing after warning, disorderly conduct, inciting/encouraging a riot and resisting arrest.

As this illustrates, being accused of crossing the line behavior-wise in a stressful situation can put a person into an incredibly serious legal situation, such as facing multiple criminal charges. When facing such a situation, a person may be worried that their life is ruined and that they have no options for protecting their future from the charges and their possible aftermath.

It is important for individuals dealing with such situations to remember that, here in the U.S., individuals facing criminal charges have various important rights and charges can be fought and contested. Skilled defense lawyers can advise individuals who have been charged in relation to chaotic events coming out of stressful situations on what options they have regarding fighting the charges they face.
